This is your Script Analysis (SCRIPTA) Class for Term 3, 2020-2021.

I’ve created this space for two reasons: (1) it’s easier to use given our internet connectivity problems, because you don’t need to log in, and there are less clicks to make to get from one place to the next; and (2) it’s more reliable in terms of being able to handle materials and links.
For the syllabus, readings, and other activities/requirements that cannot be put here, you will be redirected to our Class Google Drive.
This is primarily a theory class, which means that you are being required to do a LOT of reading, some texts more difficult than others. As this is a criticism class, you will be required to participate in all discussions, and given that we’re doing this online, you will need to join discussions in various platforms as well.
I know many of you are anxious about this term and the shift to online learning, but know that we are practicing flexibility in order to address some of your anxieties and stresses. I know it’s not easy to be learning in the context of a pandemic, our terrible internet connections, and the nation in general.
All I ask is that you are open, willing, and committed to seeing this term through with me.
